In a unexpected partnership that challenges usual forecasts, the game developer has announced an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Disclosed

According to the official release, "A strange encounter draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where whispers of forbidden practices and terrifying transformations reverberate through the darkness." The plot features a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden group.

The questline concentrates on "strange experiments and a fearsome foe" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Changes

The preview features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser ends with a striking sequence showing a character, likely the captive, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Additional Material

Players who finish the adventure will obtain an unique katana together with several objects concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
